Tina Lauricella Dennis, 95; Lifelong Greenwich Resident; Retired Fawcett Publications Employee


Santina "Tina" Lauricella Dennis, passed away on Nov. 27, 2013. She was 95.

On Sept. 21, 1918, she was born, raised and lived in Greenwich, her last years in the Mews but mainly on Milbank Avenue. 

In 1942 she met her husband Carl, a Marine, and following a whirlwind romance, married on Dec. 1, 1942. Following her husband's return from WWII, they settled in on Milbank Avenue, living next door to her parents.

She lived an active, productive and involved life that included a career with Fawcett publications which later became CBS. She organized the Fawcett events, was active on the bowling league and wrote the Fawcett Newsletter. An avid writer, she was a contributor to the Greenwich Time expressing her views in the Letters to the Editor. 

She loved having her entire family around her and was happiest when everyone was together, celebrating life, love and family.

She is survived by her four children Santina "Dolly" (Al) Kery, Carole (Brian) McCabe, Donna (John) DiBisceglie, Anthony Dennis; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; her sister Marie Krumiech, and several sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. 

She was predeceased by her husband Carl, her grandson Daniel Putrino and granddaughter Corinne McCabe Kerins. 

In lieu of donations, take time to celebrate family, her family requests you express your love and always remember your elderly relatives.

Services will be held at Fred D. Knapp & Son Funeral Home, 267 Greenwich Ave., Greenwich, from 3 to 7 p.m. with a service at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 1.Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery on Monday Dec. 2, 2013, leaving from Knapp's at 10:30 a.m.
