Vera E. Johnson, of Greenwich, passed away on Friday, Nov. 8, 2013 at Greenwich Hospital. She was 88.
Born in New York City on Feb. 16, 1925, she was the daughter of the late William and Anna Sadlon Thompsett.
Mrs. Johnson was a 1943 graduate of Greenwich High School. She was part of the Civil Air Patrol during World War II, and a member of the Glenville Seniors.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband Robert C. Johnson; two daughters Susan Johnson and Diane Hawreluk; a sister Irene Stewart, two grandchildren, Kimberly Hawreluk and Robert Hawreluk; three nephews William Stewart, Scott Stewart and James Stewart, and a great-grandson Michael Hawreluk.
Private graveside services held on Tuesday Nov. 12.
Arrangements were handled by Fred D. Knapp & Son Funeral Home, 267 Greenwich Ave., Greenwich.
