He retired as a retired banker at the former Greenwich Trust Company.

Mr. Finney is survived by his granddaughter, Laura Seweryn Markovich, and two brothers, E. Dean Finney of St. Johnsbury, VT and Graham S. Finney of Philadelphia, PA.

His wife of 64 years, Elizabeth Ann Vance Finney, predeceased him in 2008, as did his only daughter, Judith Ann Finney Seweryn in 1990.
