Zachary Paul Nicholas Pavelchak, of Greenwich, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013. He was 19.
He was the son of Cynthia Lyford Mendrala of Greenwich, and Paul Pavelchak of White Plains, NY.
He graduated from Greenwich High School in 2012 and attended Norwalk Community College where he was studying graphic design and photography. He had an infectious smile with a joy for living who never let his limitations get in the way of enjoying his life.

He is survived by his sister, Amanda Mendrala of Greenwich; his grandparents Bonnie and Howard of Florence, Ma.; uncles Scott Lyford of Florence, MA., John and Norbert Pavelchak of Yonkers, NY, Jeffrey Lyford of Plaistow, NH, Michael Gallant Plaistow; aunts Patty Pavelchak of Yonkers, NY and Anne Marie Loney of Houston, TX; cousins Taylor and Jack Lyford of Easthampton, MA, Kasi, Tyla and Erin Gallant of Plaistow, NH and many other Pavelchak cousins.
Services are private. Arrangements were handled by Castiglione Funeral Home, 134 Hamilton Ave., Greenwich.
