Why Go: As part of the library's Summer Reading Club theme, ONE WORLD, MANY STORIES, come hear Argentinean singer/guitarist, Mariana Iranzi who will delight us all with songs in Spanish and English.

When: Saturday, July 23rd; 10 a.m. - Noon

Why Go: Join Andrea to make 'Shrinky Dinks' - a children's toy/activity kit consisting of large flexible sheets which, when heated in an oven, shrink to small hard plates without altering their color or shape.

Why Go: The fifth annual series of Movies in the Park in Binney Park. Bring your picnic, your chairs, and enjoy!

Rudy (Rated PG-13, 98 minutes): Rudy Ruettiger wants to play football at the University of Notre Dame, but has neither the money for tuition nor the grades to qualify for a scholarship. Rudy redoubles his efforts to get out of the steel mill where his father works when his best friend dies in an accident there. Sign up now for one, two or three hour-long workshops for students in grades 1-3, offering hands-on fun and crafts presented in conjunction with the Museum’s latest science and art exhibition,  

Bijoux: The Origins and Impact of Jewelry. Students explore the exhibition with an educator and then work on their own creations! All materials are included.

One Heart One World--Playtivity Drum, Dance and Story Celebration - 101 W. Putnam Ave., Greenwich, CT; 203-622-7900

When: Saturday, July 23rd; 11 a.m. - Noon.

Why Go: "One Heart/One World" is a multicultural tour de force from Playtivity. Beginning with Native American ceremony and ending with an African drum and dance celebration, this participatory event is engaging from start to finish. Kids will experience folk dance, play or dance to the Dominican Meringue and Hawaiian Hula rhythms and participate in a Japanese or Mayan musical storytelling. Performers and audience will sing, dance and play African, Latin and Native American traditional songs and rhythms. Family audience ages 3 to 103.
