The 3rd Annual Silver Shield Association Greenwich Block Party, bottom of Greenwich Avenue, Greenwich, CT
When: Sunday, July 17: 3 to 8 p.m.
Why Go: a benefit for the Sheila Keegan Uhl Foundation, established in support of Sheila, daughter of retired Greenwich Police Chief Tom Keegan. The mother of two is recuperating from a massive stroke she suffered last Christmas. Entertainment by the Greenwich bands Short Bus and Billy & The Showmen; food, beverages also will be available.

When: Friday July 15; 6:30 p.m.
Why Go: Join SoundWaters and Green Drinks Greenwich for a sunset sail aboard the Schooner SoundWaters leaving from Grass Island in Greenwich.
