Letter: Paulmeno Can 'Build Coalitions for Greater Good of Citizens'

To the Editor

On election day choose wisely. We need a budget maven who has technical expertise in healthcare - the most critical part of the state budget. Candidate Stephanie Paulmeno, a healthcare expert, knows how to build coalitions for the greater good of our citizens and she will work hard to control costs while maintaining a safety net for our children and seniors. Paulmeno has a long track record of exceptional competence in assessing the effectiveness of a wide variety of social services improvements. I have first-hand knowledge of her abilities as a member of the Community Development Advisory Committee to the First Selectman. Our committee’s grant funds were always insufficient to fully cover competing local agency needs. Paulmeno is a skilled evaluator, able to prioritize funding of one agency over another, based in part on cost effectiveness. Beyond expertise, we need trusted leadership to represent our residents in Hartford. I trust the kind of caring and responsive leader who has produced a Bioterrorism Plan for Greenwich. Paulmeno is the right choice to represent Greenwich. She has worked for the town’s Department of Health and Nathaniel Witherell, she is a small business owner and she has given public service to numerous town boards, commissions work groups and state health plans from Greenwich to Hartford. Paulmeno has deep ties in our community and has served us well on the RTM. Vote for Stephanie Paulmeno as State Representative in the Shoreline District 150.
