Letter: Steve Walko 'The Man We Need in Hartford

By Kerrin Coyle

I have known Steve Walko and His Wife Alexandra since before they were married, as I planned their Honeymoon. Since that time they have two wonderful children Nicole 9 and Christopher 8 and two great dogs Bromley and Hunter.

Steve has been  an active man all his life helping in so many avenues, quietly but persuasively.

He is an accomplished local attorney since 2004, he is admitted to the bars of the state of Ct and NY as well as the United States District Court for the eastern district of NY and NY appellate division, second department. Past President of the Greenwich Bar Association and member of the Fairfield County and Connecticut Bar Association. He currently serves as counsel to the Indian Harbor Yacht Club.

Governor Rell appointed him to serve as Public Member of the State Board of Mediation and Arbitration in 2008 . He’s been appointed by the Connecticut Neutral Arbitrator’s Selection Committee to serve on the panel of Neutral Arbitrators in 2011.

Again in 2008 he served  as Chairman of the Board of Estimate and Taxation.  He has been a member with this board since 1999 serving in the budget committee.

He has also served as Chairman of the Representative Town Meeting Board budget Overview Committee and Vice Chair of the Republican Town Committee. He is also past President and past member of the finance Board at St. Paul Church in Byram. He has been a volunteer Firefighter in Byram, is extremely active in charitable and Government affaires in town and still doesn’t look older than 25, how do you do it?!!!

This is the man we need in Hartford going forward with Livvy Floren, Scott Frantz and Fred Camillo. Please vote for him on November 6th 2012.

Thank you

Kerrin Coyle

Seems to me you are missing the most obvious which is shown in the photo used at the top ofRead More Greenwich Patch pages - Grass Island Marina/Park is directly across the waterway. You won't be able to see much of the stage front but you can certainly enjoy the tunes.
