Looking for a spook-tacular good time? Grab your costume and head out to one of these local Halloween-inspired activities.

Candy and More

What: Annual Halloween Happenings

When: Friday, Oct. 21; 6 p.m.

Where: Bendheim Western Greenwich Civic Center, 449 Pemberwick Rd., Greenwich (203-618-7649)

Details: Get down to the music of DJ rick rock while the kids enjoy games and prizes at this annual local family event. Tickets are $11.


Spooky Time

What: Halloween Maze

When: Daily, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; through Nov. 1

Where: Stepping Stones Museum for Children, Mathews Park, 303 West Ave., Norwalk; 203-899-0606

Details: Kids are encouraged to “follow the clues, twists, and turns” to get through this pumpkin-decorated, spooky mini maze. When they’re done, enjoy a bounty of all-ages exhibits.  

 

Monster Ball

What: The Red Ribbon Foundation's "Halloween Extravaganza"

When: Saturday, Oct. 29; 7 p.m.

Where: Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich, 4 Horseneck Ln., Greenwich, CT

Details: The Red Ribbon Foundation’s party features Halloween-themed brews and food, dancing, drag queen bingo and an “outlandish costume” contest. For information and tickets, visit www.redribbonfoundation.org.

Just Say Boo

What: Boo at the Zoo

When: Sunday, Oct. 30; 12-3 p.m.

Where: The Beardsley Zoo, 1875 Noble Ave., Bridgeport, CT

Details: Get spooky with an afternoon of music, harvest hayrides, face painters and other seasonal enjoyments. Guaranteed to delight and fright all those who pass through! An added bonus; All attendees under 12 and in costume get into the Zoo for free.

Night Walkers

What: West Hartford Hauntings

When: Oct. 21, 22, 28 and 29; 6-8:45 p.m.

Where:  North Cemetery, 75 N. Main St., West Hartford

Details:  It’s a bit of a trek from Greenwich, but this cemetery tour is one of the best in the state. The stories this year include husband and wife train accident victims, the story of a Revolutionary War prisoner and the tale of a runaway apprentice. Tours begin every 15 minutes from 6-8:45 p.m.

Seems to me you are missing the most obvious which is shown in the photo used at the top ofRead More Greenwich Patch pages - Grass Island Marina/Park is directly across the waterway. You won't be able to see much of the stage front but you can certainly enjoy the tunes.
