Please join Alan Gorkin, Horticulturist at Lake Avenue Farm, Greenwich, CT, for this second of our 3-Season Series, as we plan and plant a 4’x8’ raised bed garden with WARM WEATHER CROPS. Come learn about plant selection and the growing methods that will help you get the most out of your summer raised bed garden. We will check on the cool-weather crops that we planted at our first session, talk about companion planting, succession planting, and discuss the good and bad insects you may encounter in your gardens.

Plants for this class were lovingly grown and donated by Horticulturist, John Horn. Additional plants donated by Mary Jo Bridge of Sam Bridge Nurseries. Each participant will go home with a plant. The harvest from our class demonstration gardens will be donated to Neighbor to Neighbor.
