15-Year-Old Arrested for BB Gun Shooting on Western Middle School Grounds

The town resident is scheduled to appear April 5 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

Police say they arrested a 15-year-old town boy at 4 p.m. on March 25 after he reportedly shot another youth with a black Desert Eagle brand BB gun.

The incident occurred in the Western Middle School parking lot shortly after school hours, Greenwich police Lt. Kraig Gray, the department's public information officer, told Patch.

"He [the arrested teen] was a student over at the Arch School, and he had been advised not to be on school property," Gray said.

The victim sustained minor injuries, Gray said. Both youths' names were withheld because of their ages.

A school official phoned police at 3:33 p.m. to report the incident, according to police.

The 15-year-old was charged with first-degree criminal trespass, carrying a dangerous weapon and third-degree assault. His case was referred to the Juvenile Matters Court and he's scheduled to appear April 5 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
