3 Busted in Forged Prescription Scam

Trio of men from the Bronx, NY accused of planning to obtain drugs with fake script.

Greenwich narcotics officers investigating a tip that a man was using a fake prescription to obtain drugs at the Walgreens pharmacy in Riverside ended up arresting a trio of men from Bronx, NY in connection with the incident.

According to a Greenwich Police report, suspect Ronald S. Harrison, 28, told police he was driven to the pharmacy by two other men who were waiting in a car in the pharmacy's parking. Officers found and arrested the men identified as Richard A. Rolon and Gabriel Ramos, both 25. They were charged with conspiracy at possession of narcotics and criminal attempt at possession of narcotics in connection with the Dec. 6 incident for which information was released Dec. 16. Ramos also was charged with interfering with an officer.

Harrison was charged with second-degree forgery, attempt to obtain a controlled substance by forgery, conspiracy at possession of narcotics and criminal attempt at possession of narcotics. He was released on a promise to appear in court. Ramos and Rolon were released after posting $1,000 bond each.

All three were scheduled to appear Dec. 20 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
