3 Charged in Greenwich Ave. Shoplifting Spree

Greenwich Police arrest 3 women from the Bronx for pilfering from 4 stores.

Three Bronx, NY women were arrested on charges they lifted nearly $1,500 in merchandise from four Greenwich Avenue shops Tuesday morning.

Based upon witness descriptions, Greenwich Police stopped the trio near their vehicle in the 300 block of Greenwich Avenue shortly before noon. "Within the vehicle, 18 items totalling $1,472.99 were identified as having been stolen from four separate stores on Greenwich Avenue throughout the morning," according to a Greenwich Police report.

Police said the merchandise was taken from the , , and stores.

The women were identified as Brittany M. Bartley, 19; Gashiba Y. Gayle, 20, and Felicia A. McDonald, 23, all of the Bronx. Each was charged with fourth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit fourth-degree larceny.

They were released after posting $500 each and scheduled to appear Dec. 21 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
