3 Drivers Face Charges for Motor Vehicle Crashes

All of the drivers are accused of evading responsibilities following crashes.


Three drivers faces a variety of motor vehicle charges including evading responsibility following separate crashes in Greenwich.

According to Greenwich Police reports, police investigating a report of damage to a stone wall on Alden Road shortly after 5:15 p.m. July 23 arrested Cynthia Kaimer Lehr-Suleman, 59 of 36 Alden Rd., Greenwich, on a charge of evading responsibility.

Police said in the report they found debris from a black vehicle in the road and a nearby stone wall damaged. As officers took photos of the scene, Lehr-Suleman returned to the scene. She was released after posting $500 bond and scheduled to appear Aug. 7 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

A Port Chester, NY man faces a litany of charges stemming from a May 12, 2013 crash on King Street, according to a police report.

Jose Balla Quishpi, 34, of 264 King St., Port Chester, surrendered July 23 and was charged with second-degree forgery, drinking while operating a motor vehicle, evading responsibility, driving while intoxicated, improper passing, license classification, failure to wear a seat belt and failure to keep right on a curve or hill, according to the report that did not include details of the incident.

Quishpi, who surrendered to police, was released on a $1,000 bond and scheduled to appear July 31, in state Superior Court in Stamford.

A Stamford man surrendered to Greenwich Police who obtained an arrest warrant charging him in connection with a July 7 crash at about 1:30 a.m. on Overlook Drive.

According to the report, Louis M. Barresi, 26, of 42 Munko Dr., Stamford, was charged with evading responsibility, failure to display a plate/sticker and failure to use a turn signal.

Barresi posted a $250 bond and scheduled to appear July 31 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
