3 Drivers Face DWI Charges in Greenwich


Greenwich Police have arrested three drivers on driving while intoxicated charges, stemming from three separate incidents.

According to a police report, Tranice L. Wooten, 42, of 162 S. Main St., South Norwalk, was arrested at 5:55 p.m. Oct. 8 after he was spotted driving without a front license plate on his car and "swaying from lane to lane" on East Putnam Avenue near Valleywood Drive. Wooten was charged with driving while intoxicated and failure to display a plate. He was released after posting a $1,000 bond and scheduled to appear Oct. 16 in state Superior Court in Stamford. 

Patrick Daur, 32, of 16 Peck Ave., Greenwich, was arrested on a warrant obtained by Greenwich Police in connection with a Jan. 11 incident on Mead Avenue. Daur was picked up by New Canaan Police Oct. 4 and turned over to Greenwich Police. Daur faces charges of driving while intoxicated, failure to drive right and operating without insurance. He posted a $250 bond and is scheduled to appear Oct. 11 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

An investigation of a crash involving a parked car on Hamilton Avenue on Oct. 4 ended with the arrest of a Greenwich woman on charges of driving while intoxicated and unsafe movement. According to a police report, Donna L. Levin, 54, of 9 Weaver St., was arrested following the crash at about 10:40 p.m. Oct. 4. She was released after posting $260 bond and scheduled to appear Oct. 18 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
