3 Drivers Face DWI Charges in Greenwich


Three drivers in Greenwich were arrested on a drunk driving and other motor vehicle charges in three separate weekend incidents.

According to Greenwich Police reports, the first arrest cam after 4 a.m. Oct. 11 when police investigated a report of a vehicle was off the road and in bushes in the 200 block of Delavan Avenue. Police said the driver, identified as Shauna M. Dibuono, 35, of Ellsworth Avenue, Harrison, NY, was found asleep behind the wheel. She had glassy, bloodshot eyes, an odor of alcohol and a half-full bottle of Corona beer in the vehicle cup holder, and failed field sobriety tests, according to the report.

DiBuono was charged with driving while intoxicated, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, failure to drive in proper lane, operating without a license and failure to insure a motor vehicle. She was released on a $250 bond and scheduled to appear Oct. 25 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

A White Plains, NY man was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated, failure to drive in proper lane and failure to signal after he was observed hitting the curb several times while driving a Volkswagen Jetta on West Putnam Avenue, just before 3 a.m. Oct. 12, according to a police report.

Isaac Oquendo, 38, of Harding Avenue, White Plains, NY was charged after police said he replied, "I'm drunk" and refused to take field sobriety tests, according to the report. He also had an odor alcoholic beverages. He posted a $250 bond and is scheduled to appear Oct. 21 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

Police investigating a two-car crash at Ritch Avenue and Byram Shore Road arrested a Stamford man about 4:15 a.m. Oct. 13. Juan N. Martinez, 31, of Anderson Street, was charged with driving while intoxicated, following too close, operating without a license and second-degree forgery.

Martinez had glassy, bloodshot eyes, an odor of alcohol, failed field sobriety tests and admitted to having three beers at a bar, according to a police report. He posted a $1,000 bond and was scheduled to appear Oct. 25 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
