Another Teen Is Charged in Cell Phone Robbery Case

A third suspect has been arrested in connection with the assault and robbery that occurred in November.

 

Greenwich Police have arrested another teen in connection with the November assault of and theft of a cell phone from a Greenwich teen as he walked along Hamilton Avenue in the Chickahominy neighborhood of Greenwich.

According to a Greenwich Police report, the 17-year-old was charged with third-degree assault, a misdemeanor, and third-degree robbery, a felony, on Feb. 15. The charges stem from the Nov. 23, 2012 attack by a group of five males.

Police obtained an arrest warrant based on statements from the victim, eyewitnesses and the suspects, according to the report.

Greenwich Police arrested two other suspects on Feb. 8. At the time, a police spokesman said investigators expected to arrest all of the suspects believed to have been involved.
