Argument Leads to Greenwich Teen's Arrest

A 19-year-old Greenwich resident faces a disorderly conduct charge following an argument with a relative.

According to a police report, Douglas Strathdee, of 74 Summit Rd., Riverside, was arrested following the Dec. 11 incident in which Strathdee reportedly grabbed and tried to forcibly remove an item from a relative's hands during an argument.

He was issued a misdemeanor summons and was released on a promise to appear in state Superior Court in Stamford. According to the Connecticut Judicial Branch website, Strathdee is due in court Jan. 28.

Isn't it fascinating how many of these police stories on Patch are written so cryptically, with so many crucial details omitted--such as here was the "item" a gun, a phone, a piece of jewelry, a hammer, knife or just what"?!!
