Arguments - Including One Over Line at Byram Park Pool - Leads to Arrests

A man from the Bronx, NY was arrested on disorderly conduct and interfering with an emergency call, following an argument with a woman over the couple's break-up.

According to Greenwich Police, Andre Dogostiano, 41, of 234 Fleet Ct., Bronx, was arrested in connection with the incident about 2:30 p.m. Saturday. Police accused Dogostiano of knocking a telephone out of the woman's hand, causing it to be pulled out a wall as she tried to call police.

He was released after posting $250 bond and was scheduled to appear July 25 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

A motor vehicle stop on Henry Street on the Byram section of Greenwich lead to the arrest of one passenger in the car on marijuana possession charges Saturday.

The car was stopped about 7:30 p.m. Saturday because officers said they saw a passenger "leaning forward creating an unsafe operating environment" for the driver. A passenger Willie Aurioles, 24, of 106 Spruce St., Greenwich, did not follow officers' orders to remove his hands from his pants pockets, according to a police report. After forcibly removing his hands, police searched his pockets and found 9 cellophane bags filled with a green leafy substance that tested positive for marijuana.

Aurioles was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to sell. He was in lieu of $2,500 and scheduled to appear Aug. 1 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

A pair of women who Greenwich Police argued over where they stood in line to use the Byram Park pool were arrested on 2nd-degree breach of peace charges at 6:45 p.m. Friday.

Marlene Acevedo, 36, of 144 Whittier St., Bridgeport, and Maria Marroquin, 31, of 10 Beech St., were charged in connection with "a physical altercation" between them, according to a police report.

Both were released on promises to appear July 29 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
