Bah Humbug ... Woman Accused of Removing Holiday Decorations at Vets Club

A woman who reportedly lives above the Byram Veterans Association is accused of removing the holiday decorations the vets had hung on their building on Delavan Avenue.

Usually there are decorations including wreaths hung on the exterior of the Byram Veterans club. But they apparently didn't last for long this year.

According to a Greenwich Police report, the woman admitted to removing the decorations and could not explain why she did so and tossed them into a nearby garbage receptacle. The decorations were valued at about $100.

Theresa Harrington, 53, of 300 Delavan Ave., was issued a misdemeanor summons on a third-degree criminal mischief charge on Dec. 21. She is scheduled to appear Jan. 21 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
