Brothers Busted After Brawl; Truck Burglary Suspect Charged

Two brothers face third-degree assault and disorderly conduct charges following a early Sunday morning brawl in the home they share.

According to a Greenwich Police report, an argument between the pair broke out about 6:45 a.m. after one of the men stayed up all night drinking. The argument between the siblings, age 54 and 55, became physical and one of the brothers was injured when he fell.

Both were released on promises to appear July 1 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

A Stamford man faces third-degree burglary, simple trespass and interfering with police charges, after Greenwich Police say he was found rummaging through a truck parked at an Old Greenwich gas station.

Yeltsin S. Najarro, 19, of 29 Cantwell St., Stamford, was arrested after he was spotted in the lot at the Shell gas station, 1429 E. Putnam Ave., at about 12:45 a.m. June 30. Najarro was held in lieu of a $1,000 bond and scheduled to appear July 8 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

The owner of a late model Range Rover reported someone stole the SUV while it was parked outside a business at 115 Mason St., shortly before 5 p.m., June 29.
"It was taken while the owner was inside the store. He saw someone drive off with it," said Greenwich Police spokesman Lt. Kraig Gray.
