Car Vandalism Continues in Pemberwick

As Greenwich Police beef up patrols in the Pemberwick Road area of town in an attempt to stem the vandalism to cars parked in the  neighborhood, three more have been damaged.

The residents reported the damage throughout the day Aug. 11 as they discovered car-length long scratches in the paint of their vehicles, according to police reports.

Lt. Robert Berry said police are continuing their investigation into the string of car-keyings that began in May. To date, nearly 20 vehicles parked along Pemberwick Road and in driveways, between West Putnam Avenue and Moshier Street, have been damaged.

Berry said police continue to develop leads as to who may be responsible for the damage. "There's no evidence that one person is being targeted rather it's the whole region," Berry said.

While police have stepped up patrols, they ask anyone who may see anything  suspicious to call 203-622-8007.
