Cars, Mailboxes Vandalized in Byram

Greenwich Police also make larceny arrest.

Cars and mailboxes at three Byram Shore Road homes were vandalized overnight Tuesday into Wednesday, according to Greenwich Police.

Two cars and two mailboxes at the three homes between 240 and 250 Byram Shore Rd. were reported damaged on Wednesday.

"Two mailboxes were bashed. One of the cars had a cracked window. Another was scratched," according to Lt. Robert Berry. "It happened sometime overnight. It seems to indicate that probably it was a single suspect or group of suspects," Berry added.

Port Chester man busted for larceny

Greenwich Police arrested a Port Chester, NY man on a sixth-degree larceny charge stemming from a March 9 theft from Urban Outfitters at 20 E. Elm St.

According to a police report, Daniel E. O'Connell, 26, who gave an address of 149 Fairview Ave., surrendered to police who had obtained an arrest warrant.

O'Connell was released after posting $100 bond and scheduled to appear April 23 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
