Close Call? Greenwich Pedestrian Argues with Motorist


A Greenwich pedestrian faces charges he argued with a motorist who he believed passed too closely as the man crossed Greenwich Avenue.

According to a Greenwich Police report, the pedestrian yelled at the motorist and hit the vehicle with his fist, damaging the car at about 10:10 p.m. July 11.

The pedestrian, Stephen J. Silver, 37, of 9 Soundview Ct., Greenwich, was charged with second-degree breach of peace and third-degree criminal mischief. He was released on a promise to appear July 26 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
