A Cos Cob teen is facing an assault charge after an argument that involved the teen allegedly pushing a family member down a flight of stairs, according to Greenwich Police.
The 17-year-old boy was involved in an argument shortly before 1 p.m. Dec. 26 that "turned to pushing" and ended with pushing "the other family member down a flight of stairs," according to a police report. The report did not indicate the nature of the argument or how the teen is related to the victim.
The teen was charged with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault. He was issued a juvenile summons and scheduled to appear Jan. 7 in the Juvenile Matters Division of state Superior Court in Stamford.
The victim suffered minor injuries. The report did not indicate whether the victim needed medical treatment.
