Coworkers' Brawl Ends with Injuries and Tickets


A pair of coworkers at Mavis Tire were treated for injuries and issued misdemeanor summons for assault following a fist fight at the Riverside shop on Saturday.

According to a Greenwich Police report, the men were having "difficulty interacting at work" and that Anibal Diaz, 27, of 546 Laurel Ave., Bridgeport, confronted and punched Luis A. Pacheco, 56, of 680 Newfield Ave., Stamford, several times. Pacheco is accused of hitting and kicking Diaz during the lunch-time fisticuffs about 12:35 p.m., Oct. 5.

Pacheco was taken to Stamford Hospital for treatment, and Diaz went to Greenwich Hospital.

Each man was ticketed for third-degree assault and breach of peace. Both were scheduled to appear Oct. 15 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
