Dining and Donating Dollars For a Good Cause

"Patrol Dine Out" Is a fund-raiser for the Cos Cob Fire Police Patrol Inc.—they help the entire town, will you help them?

Coming off the heels of the cooking-intensive holidays of Pasover and Easter, you probably need a kitchen break.

Think no further and mark your calendars to dine out in some of Greenwich's popular restaurants on April 4. A 'Patrol Dine Out' will all be in the name of the Cos Cob Fire Police Patrol which has organized what it hopes will be the first an annual event.

Participating restaurants and other food vendors located around Greenwich have agreed to participate by donating a portion of their sales on the evening of April 4 in support of the CCFPP. The CCFPP is an all-volunteer 501c3 first-responder organization based in Cos Cob, but serves the entire Town of Greenwich. They're the ones directing traffic and assisting the local professional and volunteer fire departments on calls thoughout Greenwich.

The patrol is hoping that Greenwich residents will respond to the call to support the event by patronizing participating establishments. And there's a culinary variety that's sure to appease all palates. Participating restaurants include Joey B’s, Sound Beach Pizza, Crew Restaurant, Pizza Post, Tomatillo Taco, Bistro Latino, Chicken Joe’s Cos Cob, The Cos Cobber and Louie’s Restaurant and Bar.

The list of participating and supporting restaurants will be updated daily through April 3,on the website www.ccfpp.org.

Corporate and individual sponsors also have signed up to support the event by underwriting costs. The sponsors include "Main Event Platinum Sponsor" Fairway Market of Stamford; and "Gold Sponsors" the Pepe Auto Group of White Plains and Greenwich Pharmacy, located on Greenwich Avenue.

The Cos Cob Fire Police Patrol, Inc., founded in 1927, is dedicated to serving and protecting the residents and other first responders of the Town of Greenwich. The patrol provides a broad spectrum of services including firefighting, salvage operations; and traffic and scene control at emergencies.

The patrol is one of the few organizations remaining nationwide which specialize in the art of salvage work. Members are specially trained to protect valuable personal property inside of a home or business in an emergency that could otherwise be destroyed due to fire, water or smoke damage.

For more information about joining the event as a participating restaurant or sponsor, or to help with a donation in any amount, contact Sgt. Sebastian Dostmann at 203-550-4415 or via email atsdostmann@gmail.com.
