Dispute Leads to Employee Arrest

Greenwich Police say an employee who was involved in an argument with another worker over money was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge Jan. 9.

According to police, Yong Da Lin, 33, of 1764 77th St., Brooklyn NY, also was charged with threatening following the incident about 11:15 a.m., Jan. 9 in an office at 230 Mill St., in the Byram section of Greenwich. There weren't any injuries reported, according to a police report.

Lin was released after posting a $200 bond and scheduled to appear Jan. 16 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

Pricey purse pilfered

Greenwich Police are investigating the theft of a pricey purse that was left in a shopping cart while its owner perused items in the Whole Foods Market at 90 E. Putnam Ave. about 2:30 p.m. Jan. 9.

According to police, the Celine handbag was taken along with about $200 cash and personal belongings including eyeglasses inside the bag. Police wouldn't provide a value on the purse, but according to online websites, the Celine handbags sell for at least $1,600.
