Domestic Disputes Prompt 2 Arrests

A 20-year-old town man whom Greenwich Police said threatened his family with a gun was arrested on a variety of charges including illegal use of a fascimile firearm.

No one was injured in the incident that happened at 327 Hamilton Ave. after 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30. Police said they arrested Manuael Gonzalez, who lived at the address where the dispute took place. According Sgt. Michael O'Connor, Gonzalez said he had a gun and was "going to kill himself and everyone" in the home. There were three family members in the home. O'Connor said Gonzalez had to be tasered so that officers could arrest and handcuff him.

He was found to have a BB gun. In addition to the firearm charge, Gonzalez was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, interfering with an officer, reckless endangerment and five counts of 2nd-degree threatening. He was held at Greenwich Hospital in lieu of $50,000 bond and scheduled to appear Oct. 3 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
