Driver Faces Hit-and-Run, DWI Charges

Greenwich Police arrest driver following minivan crash.

 

A driver faces a variety of motor vehicle charges including driving while intoxicated following a hit-and-run accident.

According to a Greenwich Police report, the driver was stopped by police on East Putnam Avenue about 12:30 a.m. March, because the green Dodge Caravan he was driving matched the description of a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run crash.

Armando Salinas Reyes, 29, of 11 Reservoir Ave., Norwalk, failed field sobriety tests. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, evading responsibility, failure to obey a traffic signal, operating without a license and failure to maintain a lane

Details of the crash were not provided by police.

Reyes was released after posting $500 bond and was scheduled to appear April 5 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
