Drivers Busted on Warrant Charges

Greenwich Police charge one driver in connection with a November incident; another for failing to appear in court on a charge from a 2010 accident.

 

A Yaphank, NY man was arrested on a variety of motor vehicle charges after he surrendered to Greenwich Police on Dec. 12.

According to a Greenwich Police report, Michael D. Moore, 41, of 27 Huntington Corners, Yaphank, surrendered at 8:45 a.m. Dec. 12 on charges stemming from a Nov. 11 incident on West Putnam Avenue. Moore was charged with speeding, reckless driving, engaging in a police pursuit, failure to obey a control signal and failure to maintain lane. He was released after posting $250 bond and scheduled to appear Dec. 19 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

A Port Chester, NY man was arrested on a second-degree failure to appear in court charge stemming from a motor vehicle accident on April 3, 2012.

Samuel DaSilva, 29, of 189 Hillandale Ave., was arrested on Dec. 12. He is accused of failing to appear in court Oct. 9, 2012 on charges dating back to the accident. Details on the original charges were not included in the report.

DaSilva was released after posting $750 bond and is scheduled to appear Dec. 19 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

A 23-year-old woman faces a charge of second-degree reckless endangerment following an incident involving a knife.

According to a Greenwich Police report, Ariella A. Blume, 23, of 33 N. Hawthorne St., Greenwich, was arrested shortly after 11 a.m. Dec. 8 after police investigated a report of a disorderly person at her home.

She is accused of "acting in a reckless manner while holding a knife." An identified person suffered "a minor injury" in the incident, according to the report. Blume was released on a promise to appear Dec. 14 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
