Dump Truck Driver Faces DWI Charge

Dump truck driver charged with DWI 

A 40-year-old Port Chester, NY resident was arrested on several motor vehicle charges stemming fro an accident with the dump truck he was driving on Byram Road.

According to a Greenwich Police report, the driver, identified as Pedro A. Torres-Gatteras, was changed after police said they found him with bloodshoot eyes, slurred speech and alcohol from the emanating from the car. He is accused of being unsteady on his feet and leaving against the dump truck to keep from falling.

Police said Torres-Gutierrez, 40, of 24 Grove St., Port Chester, NY. failed participate in sobriety tests following his arrest. He was released on Byram Road. He was charge with driving while intoxicated,

 He was able to post the $1,000 bond set on charges of evading resonsibility, operating under the influence, operating without a license, and failure to drive in a proper lane. His court date is Nov. 14 .

Crash leads to DWI charge

A driver involved in a car accident on LeGrande Avenue was arrested on motor vehicle charges including driving while intoxicated.

According to a Greenwich Police report, Jorge Nolasco, 34, of 109 Wilbur Peck Ct., Greenwich, was charged in connection with the Oct. 29 crash, shortly before 6 p.m. Nolasco was found leaning over the steering wheel of his parked car that was running with the lights on. He was arrested after failing sobriety tests, according to the report.

In addition to the dwi charge, Nolasco was charged with operating without a license. He was held in lieu of $250 bond and scheduled to apper Nov. 7 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

Nursing home employee assaulted

A visitor at the Greenwich Woods Nursing Home was arrested early Halloween on 3rd-degree assault and disorderly conduct charges following the assault of nursing home worker.

According to Greenwich Police, Olivia Marie Adams, 33, of 1308 Madison Ave., Bridgeport, was arrested in connection with the 6 a.m. incident. Further details on the incident were not given. Adams was released on a $1,000 bond and scheduled to appear Nov. 7 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

Man charged with violation of protection order

Greenwich Police investigating a domestic disturbance report arrested a 45-year-old Ute Place man on a charge of violating an order of protection. He is accused of contacting the victim and coming within 100 yards of the victim, violating the order on Oct. 29.

The man was released after posting $1,000 bond and scheduled to appear Oct. 31 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
