Expired Car Registration Leads to Arrest

Greenwich Police find that motorist was wanted for failing to appear in court.

 

A motorist stopped by Greenwich Police for having an expired car registration was arrested on a charge he failed to appear in court.

Anthony Q. Linder, 42, of 94 Southfield Ave., Stamford, was stopped by police shortly after 5:30 p.m. April 3 on Delavan Avenue. According to a police report, in addition to having an expired car registration, Linder is accused of operating without a license and operating without insurance.

A records check showed that he was wanted by the Clinton Police Department which had obtained an arrest warrant for a second-degree failure to appear in court charge. He is accused of not appear in court May 21, 2012 for an unspecified charge.

Linder posted a $1,000 bond and was scheduled to appear April 12 in state Superior Court in Middletown.
