A woman arrested at a Cos Cob bank last April on charges she tried to cash stolen checks was arrested again by Greenwich Police—this time on charges she didn't appear in court following her original arrest.
Keisha L. Delancy, 20, of 1990 Park Chester Ave., Bronx, NY, was arrested at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 16, according to a police report. She is charged with first-degree failure to appear in court. According to court records, a rearrest order was signed by state Superior Court judge in Stamford on July 3.
Delancy was arrested on April 9 after she allegedly tried to cash forged checks at at the Chase bank at 371 E. Putnam Ave. in Cos Cob and then run from Greenwich Police as they moved in to arrest her. The original charges were two counts each of second-degree forgery and interfering with an officer, and one count each of criminal attempt at fourth-degree larceny and identity theft, which are both felonies.
Following her Aug. 16 arrest, Delancy was held in lieu of $7,500 bond and was scheduled to appear Aug. 23 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
