Glenville Road Resident Reports Fraudulent Use of Checking Account

Greenwich Police said it appears to be a case of fraud and not identity theft.

A resident of Glenville Road reported on Tuesday, Aug. 14 that someone had fraudulently used her checking account to conduct several out-of-state transactions in recent days.

Police said the dollar amount of the fraudulent transactions was still to be determined, as the investigation was in the early stages. Police said it appears to be a case of fraud and not identity theft. Police could not confirm whether the transactions were carried out online.

Police are investigating.
