Greenwich Driver Who Nearly Hit Pedestrian And Parked Cars Faces DWI Charge

A driver who Greenwich Police say nearly struck a pedestrian and two cars parked on Hamilton. Avenue was arrested on a drunk driving charge.

Julio A. Navas Martin, 33, of 57 Prospect St., Greenwich, was arrested following the 9:30 p.m. Aug. 9 incident on Hamilton Avenue near Stone Avenue, according to a police report.

Navas Martin was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to maintain lane, improper use of high beams and operating without a license. According to the police report, his speech was slurred and he had an odor of alcohol.

He was scheduled to appear Aug. 23 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
