Greenwich Man Charged with Disorderly Conduct Following Domestic Dispute

Man cut his stomach with kitchen knife in possible suicide attempt, police said.

Segundo Pesantez, 30, or North Water Street was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct on August 23, following a domestic dispute.

Police said officers were called to Pesantez’s residence at about 6:30 p.m. after he allegedly got into an argument with his wife, age 25. Police said Pesantez was intoxicated at the time the incident took place.

Pesantez’s wife reported to police that during the argument he struck her in the face with his hand/fist. Police said Pesantez then threatened to commit suicide, grabbed a kitchen knife and attempted to cut his stomach, causing minor injuries.

Police said Pesantez was transported to the hospital for treatment. Police said the female victim was not injured.

Pesantez was released on a promise to appear in court on Sept. 9.
