Man Faces Sex Assault Charge; Incident Involved a Minor

Greenwich Police say the suspect surrendered at police headquarters.


A 21-year-old man is facing a sexual assault charge that stems from an incident involving a victim who was younger than 15.

According to a Greenwich Police report, Chanuncey Lazar Rose, 21m of 20 Armstrong Ct., Greenwich surrendered at police headquarters March 27. Investigators had obtained an arrest warrant for Rose in connection with an assault that occurred at the Armstrong Court housing complex, that was reported Feb. 4, 2014.

Rose is charged with fourth-degree sexual assault with a victim under 15 and risk of injury to a minor.

Police spokesman Lt. Kraig Gray refused to comment on the arrest or release further details.

Rose was released on a written promise to appear April 4 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
