Greenwich Native Sworn in as Police Officer

Patrick O'Connor of Greenwich is the newest recruit hired by the Naugatuck Police Department.


The apple doesn't fall far from the O'Connor family tree.

Patrick O'Connor was recently sworn in as the newest recruit of the Naugatuck Police Department. 

The 23-year-old O'Connor was born and raised in Greenwich. He is completing his ninth week at the Meriden Police Academy.

He is a 2013 graduate of Southern Connecticut Statue University in New Haven where he majored in sociology and received minors in criminal justice and political science. He is a 2009 alum of Greenwich High School.

O'Connor is the son of of Greenwich Police Sgt. Michael O'Connor, a 30-year department veteran assigned to the Marine Unit, and his wife Mary Ann.
