Greenwich Pair Arrested After Scuffle Over Cell Phone

Police said the man and woman gave conflicting accounts: Each claimed they had been struck or restrained by the other.

A Greenwich man and woman who are dating were arrested and each charged with breach of peace following a domestic dispute reported at around 12:31 p.m. Sunday.

According to Greenwich Police the 58-year-old male resident of River Road had an argument with his 50-year-old girlfriend, who lives on Hamilton Avenue, over a cell phone.

Police said the man and woman gave conflicting accounts: Each claimed they had been struck or restrained by the other. Neither required medical attention.

Both were released on a promise to appear in court.
