Greenwich PD Log: Stolen Car, Stealing from Cars; Smashing Mailboxes

Greenwich Police investigate thefts and vandalism.

A Lexus SUV was reported stolen Thursday and Greenwich Police say it was taken from the driveway where it was left locked by the owner.

A resident of Hilltop Road reported the silver 2010 Lexus RX450 missing about 7:20 a.m. March 21, according to police. A value of the SUV was not given.

The owners of two cars parked in a Knoll Street driveway reported that about $60 in cash and coins were stolen from the vehicles.

The thefts were reported about 12:15 p.m. Thursday. Police said that neither the Chevrolet Suburban nor the Nissan Xterra were locked.

First it was eggs, now it seems vandals are targeting mailboxes.

A homeowner in the 100 block of Lake Avenue reported about 2:30 p.m. March 19 that their mailbox smashed. A resident of Old Stone Bridge Road reported at 6:09 p.m. March 19 that a mailbox at that home had been smashed.

The mailbox vandalism comes days after three residents reported their homes were damaged by egg-throwing culprits on March 16.

Seems to me you are missing the most obvious which is shown in the photo used at the top ofRead More Greenwich Patch pages - Grass Island Marina/Park is directly across the waterway. You won't be able to see much of the stage front but you can certainly enjoy the tunes.
