Greenwich PD: Mom Was Walking Drunk with 4-Year-Old

A Greenwich woman is facing a risk of injury to a minor charge after Greenwich Police say she was under the influence as she walked along Hamilton Avenue with her four-year-old child in tow.

According to a police report, officers were called to the Armstrong Court housing complex on Hamilton Avenue about 8:20 p.m. Aug. 5 on a report of an intoxicated female. Officers found that the woman "had walked down the road with her four-year-old child possibly to a local liquor store."

Officers found the woman and child on Hamilton Avenue and "it was immediately apparent that she was under the influence of alcohol," according to the report.

Miriam E. Rodas, 34, of 17 Armstrong Ct., was charged with risk of injury to a minor and released on a promise to appear Aug. 12 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
