Greenwich Police Charge Several Motorists with Drunk Driving Charges

One driver is accused of being passed out behind the wheel, another of driving while dragging a street sign beneath his vehicle.

Greenwich Police have arrested several drivers on drunk driving and other motor vehicle charges.

On June 1, Joshua K. Arsenault, 30, of 143 Davis Ave., Greenwich was arrested after police reportedly found him passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle that was running and blocking traffic on Davis Avenue about 2:25 a.m. Arsenault is accused of failing field sobriety tests as well. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and improper parking. He posted a $250 bond and is scheduled to appear June 16 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

A man who police said was seen driving a heavily damaged vehicle that was dragging a street sign beneath it on West Putnam Avenue around 11:40 p.m. June 1 is facing three charges.

Alejandro E. Garrido, 46, of 45 Leeds St., Stamford, was arrested after police said he was swaying from lane to lane. Garrido is accused of having an odor of alcohol on his breath and of telling police he didn't know whether he was involved in an accident. Garrido was charged with driving while intoxicated, evading responsibility and failure to drive in proper lane. He posted a $250 bond and is scheduled to appear June 16 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

A 20-year-old driver from Rye, NY faces several charges after police reportedly saw him straddling lanes of traffic on East Putnam Avenue and making a turn without signaling shortly after 2 a.m. June 1.

Debra D. Oler, 58, of 35 Boulder Brook Rd., Greenwich was arrested about 10:15 a.m. June 3 after police found she was driving on Hamilton Avenue with a suspended license. She is accused of failing field sobriety tests. Dedomenico was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to maintain lane, operating a motor vehicle without a license and failure to utilize turn signal.

She was charged with driving while intoxicated, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating with a suspended license and operating without insurance. Oler posted a $1,000 bond and was scheduled to appear June 18 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

A driver observed crossing the double yellow line on Delavan Avenue about 4:15 a.m. May 31 also was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

Feliciano Tranquilino, 30, of 9 Frederick St., Stamford, is accused of having red, glassy eyes and an odor of alcohol, and failing field sobriety tests. Tranquilino was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to maintain lane and operating a motor vehicle without a license. He posted bond and is scheduled to appear June 16 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

Another driver was arrested after she was seen by officers weaving in traffic and crossing the double yellow line on Delavan Avenue shortly before 4 a.m. May 30.

According to a police report, Sandra E. Annuzzi, 37, of 119 Lenox Ave., Milford, is accused of having red, glassy eyes, an odor of alcohol, and failing field sobriety tests. She was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to carry an insurance card and failure to drive right. Annuzzi posted a $250 bond and is scheduled to appear June 13 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
