Greenwich Police Investigate Report of Weekend Sex Assault

Greenwich Police are investigating a woman's report that she was sexually assaulted after attending a party in Greenwich.

According to police spokesman Lt. Kraig Gray, the woman came to police headquarters Jan. 11 to report the incident that she said took place in a car somewhere in Greenwich.

"The victim and the alleged suspect, neither of them live in town," Gray said.  Because of that, Gray said it "is too early to say" exactly where the incident occurred, other than in a car. The pair apparently attended a party in town. He did not identify the hometown of either victim or the suspect.

"We have to substantiate what exactly took place," Gray said.

"It is not a forced, stranger abduction" case, Gray added.
