Greenwich Police: Man Resists Being Arrested

A man who Greenwich Police were trying to arrest on a failure to respond to an infraction charge ended up resisting officers' efforts to handcuff him, according to a police report.

Kasey E. Hernandez, 21, of 47 Rodwell Ave., Greenwich, was arrested about 10:45 a.m. Jan. 7 at his mother's home on Ritch Avenue, according to the report.

Hernandez is accused of getting into a brief struggle with officers when they tried to handcuff him. That led to an interfering with an officer charge. The failure to respond charge stems from a traffic citation he received March 3, 2013 on West Putnam Avenue, according to the report.

Hernandez was unable to post the court-ordered $359 bond. He is scheduled to appear Jan.15 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
