Greenwich Woman Faces Shoplifting Charge
The suspect is accused of stealing clothes from a Greenwich Avenue shop.
A Greenwich woman is facing charges stemming from a reported shoplifting incident at the Calypso St. Barth clothing shop on Greenwich Avenue.
On April 15, store employees reported that an unspecified amount of woman's clothing was taken from the store. Greenwich Police were able to identify a suspect and obtained an arrest warrant for Cynthia A. Gordon, 62, of 71 Vinci Dr.
Police arrested Gordon on May 18 on charges of fourth-degree larceny and second-degree giving a false statement, according to a police report. The report did not indicate whether the clothing was recovered.
Gordon was released on a written promise to appear May 26 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
