Greenwich Woman Punches Man Over Parking Dispute

Other Greenwich Police arrest includes a man charged after driving without headlights on.

An argument between tenants of a Riverside residence ended with the arrest of one of them on a charge she slugged her neighbor in the jaw.

The unidentified victim told police that he argued with the suspect about the number of friends she had visiting and that one of them parked in his parking space, according to a Greenwich Police report. The suspect became upset about being confronted by her neighbor and hit  him in the jaw with a closed fist.

Shelby N. Fortunato, 21, of 11 Wampus Ln., Riverside, was charged with disorderly conduct in connection with the May 29 incident shortly before 5 p.m. She was released on a written promise to appear May 30 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

Dark headlights at night will lead to a police stop

A driver who Greenwich Police said was stopped because he didn't turn on the headlights of his car while driving on Indian Field Road just before midnight on May 25.

Acccording to a police report, Jose A. Cebanos-Monfil, 21, who gave an address of 383 Greenwich Ave., Greenwich, was charged with operating with a suspended license, failure to have illuminated lights and refusal to be fingerprinted. Cebanos-Monfil is accused of becoming beligerent during the booking process and refusing to be fingerprinted.

He was held in lieu of $500 bond and scheduled to appear June 4 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
