Greenwich Youth Arrested for Stealing Items from Parked Cars

Youthful offender reportedly stole numerous items from vehicles parked on Palmer Street.

A 17-year-old Greenwich youth was arrested and charged with sixth degree larceny, third degree burglary and interfering with an officer on August 20, after he was caught allegedly stealing items from parked cars on Palmer Street.

Police said officers responded to a report of a male suspect going through parked cars on Palmer Street at about 1:07 a.m. Police said officers checked the area and located the youth on Bible Street. Police said the youth was in possession of multiple items that he had removed from the vehicles.

Witnesses at the scene confirmed that the youth was the one seen going through the cars. In addition police said the youth provided a written confession. The youth was released on a promise to appear in court on August 24. [Editor’s note: Patch does not publish the names of youthful offenders]
