A family returned to their Zaccheus Mead Lane home Sunday morning to find burglars ransacked it and stole two handguns, electronic devices and several thousand dollars worth of jewelry, according to Greenwich Police.
Lt. Kraig Gray said there wasn't any sign of forced entry. The residents reported the burglary about 12:20 a.m. March 3 after they found all of the drawers and closets ransacked, Gray said.
Two guns—a vintage military-issued Colt 45 semi-automatic handgun and a .22-caliber pistol—were taken, Gray said. Several pieces of jewelry worth "several thousand dollars," also were taken.
Investigators didn't find any evidence of forced entry.
