Head-on Collision Closes Valley Road

Greenwich Police, Fire and EMS responded to the scene. One of the vehicles involved, a Chevy Tahoe, ended up in the driveway of a home at 199 Valley Rd. The other vehicle, a Toyota, sustained heavy front end damage.

An apparent head-on collision closed Valley Road in Cos Cob at Mianus View Terrace at about 3:40 p.m., Friday.

Two fire trucks and two ambulances responded to the scene. One of the vehicles involved, a Chevy Tahoe, ended up in the driveway of a home at 199 Valley Road. The other vehicle, a Toyota, was straddling the roadway. Both sustained heavy front end damage.

Valley Road was closed in both directions for more than an hour and traffic was detoured via Mianus View Terrace and Dandy Drive.

Some or all of the occupants of the vehicles stood in the driveway at 199 Valley Road as crews cleared the scene — a bystander said no one was taken to the hospital. There were two women — one accompanied by one child, the other with two young children.

It appeared the Toyota had made a right turn out of Mianus View Terrace to head south on Valley Road, before the head-on crash with the Chevy.

Seems to me you are missing the most obvious which is shown in the photo used at the top ofRead More Greenwich Patch pages - Grass Island Marina/Park is directly across the waterway. You won't be able to see much of the stage front but you can certainly enjoy the tunes.
